MacBook Pro Hard Drive Replacement

I finally decided I'd had enough of my jam-packed 100Gb hard drive. So I checked out some advice on the internet and replaced the original drive with a fantastic new Western Digital 2.5" 500Gb model. Upgrade only cost about £60. What a difference! Highly recommended. 40 minute upgrade.

The OTHER screw is too tall to put the 7800GT back in. It's probably too tall for the HD4850 with the Accelero on it. I could try use the bolts that came with the Jing Ting cooler, since they're much shorter, or I could use the less-secure spring loaded push-pins that came with the HR-05.

The Thermalright thing came with hardware for *three* different mounting methods, which is really cool.

It's hard to see how close the HR-05's mounting screw (bolt? "machine screw" is the right term, I think...) is to the card. Though troublesome, this actually isn't the clearance issue that stymied me.

The 40mm fan that I probably should have had on that little copper number. I've never even tried running it, so I have no idea what it sounds like.
